Sealed Bariatric Medical Mattress

The Sealed Bariatric Medical Mattress by MTJ Medical features a high-density foam core capable of supporting patients who weigh up to 600 pounds. The top layer features foam with a high ILD rating that offers superior support and comfort across the total surface area. By contrast, lower density foam mattresses fail to provide enough support for bariatric patients because the foam will compress and degrade over time, which will create painful pressure points on joints and the skin.

Support: The higher density foam provides an extra level of support for bariatric patients weighing up to 600 pounds. 

Water-resistant: When accidents happen, you’ll take comfort in knowing that the nylon cover repels dirt, bodily fluids, and other liquids to help protect the core.

Hygienic: An anti-fungistatic layer protects the core from the spread and growth of microorganisms and bacteria. It does not prevent the spread of various bacteria and viruses from patients coming in contact with the mattress’s surface. 

Easy to Clean: We recommend cleaning the surface with an appropriately diluted disinfectant spray, wiping it down, and letting it air dry between each patient’s use or as often as is necessary. 

Flammability: Meets and exceeds the requirements of: California Technical Bulletin 129, California Technical Bulletin 603, 16 CFR Part 1633

  • Color: Navy blue, non-bleeding, non fading. 
  • Cover Material: PU coated Nylon fabric with 4 way stretch. Pinhole free. Plush comfort. Non-abrasive to skin.
  • Seams: RF Welded with covered zippers.
  • Flammability: Passed 16 CFR 1632, BSEN 1021-2 1994, BSEN 102-1 1994, NFRA 701 and small scale TB 1117, California Tech. Bulletin 129 and 603.
  • Water Resistant: Highly-resistant against liquids, bodily fluids, and medications. Moisture vapor permeable. 
  • Bacteria Resistant: Treated with anti-microbial & anti-fungal properties. 
  • Core: High-density foam rails, Energex temperature responsive foam, and a foam core construction featuring 5-zone contour cut cells.
